Newsletter
Stay informed with the latest updates from NFDI4BIOIMAGE!
In our second 2026 newsletter, the consortium shares the latest updates and upcoming opportunities in bioimaging research data management. Highlights include the launch of our redesigned website, a call for community input via the 2026 NFDI4BIOIMAGE Community Survey, and the submission of our interim progress report, in part now publicly available.
The newsletter also provides a curated overview of upcoming events for early and mid-2026, from the Image Data Community Days and the OME Community Meeting in Düsseldorf to international conferences on plasma science and medicine. Researchers can also look forward to the Boosting BioData Bootcamp in Aachen this September, designed to strengthen skills in handling biological data across disciplines.
Finally, the newsletter points to recent publications, including updated minimal reporting requirements for light-microscopy experiments and new advances in fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), with data openly accessible via OMERO.
From community engagement to practical tools and international visibility, 2026 continues to be a busy and collaborative year for the bioimaging community. Stay informed and connected by subscribing to the newsletter and following NFDI4BIOIMAGE across social platforms.
