Data Management at the TiM 2025 in Münsingen

NFDI4BIOIMAGE, in collaboration with the I3D:bio project, will offer an integrated data management concept and workshops at the Trends in Microscopy Conference in Münsingen (March 17th – 21st).

Graphical Abstract for the Trends in Microscopy Meeting 2025

The Trends in Microscopy (TiM) conference is known for highlighting state-of-the-art developments in bioimaging and image analysis, and in particular for its innovative, practice-focused format. A fully equipped lab environment is set up at the venue, enabling numerous parallel hands-on workshops, where experts demonstrate advanced techniques using real experiments on ~ 20 microscopy systems. TiM also emphasizes FAIR-compliant image data management. Since TiM2023, a central OMERO instance, metadata tools, and data stewardship have enabled participants to experience full data workflows and provide feedback for improvement. The TiM-OMERO server will also be accessible to software workshop providers. Images uploaded to OMERO will be available via APIs and directly from a fileshare on a HIVE.

TiM2025 integrates this with efforts from the DFG-project I3D:bio, the NFDI4BIOIMAGE consortium, and Euro-BioImaging ERIC, facilitating international alignment and collaboration on microscopy data management.

TiM 2025 will take place in Münsingen, Baden-Württemberg from March 17th to 21st.
