NFDI4BIOIMAGE contributes to core infrastructure indispensible for bioimage data handling, processing and analysis. This includes libraries such as Bio-Formats or the bioimage management platform OMERO and its functionalities. 

Research software engineers of the consortium develop and maintain software tools and projects linked to research data management in bioimaging some of which are available as GitHub repositories. We develop tools such as OMERO-vitessce for intermodal linkage of sequencing and bio-image data and metadata, metadata linkage tools such as LEO or OMERO plugins.
