Focus on Imaging at the GBM Compact Symposium in Frankfurt

On September 26-27, the Compact Symposium of the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM) took place in Frankfurt. The event offered an exciting program that included short talks by early-career scientists, poster presentations, and keynote lectures by leading scientists who are developing and applying groundbreaking imaging techniques for biological research. NFDI4BIOIMAGE participated with two workshops and a booth.

At the invitation of the GBM, the NFDI4BIOIMAGE consortium, together with the I3D:bio

(Information Infrastructure for BioImage Data) project, organized two workshops. The first workshop focused on research data management in the field of biological imaging and presented tools for practical implementation. The second workshop provided valuable tips on how to choose the right microscopy method for specific research questions. Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to exchange with the NFDI4BIOIMAGE data stewards at the information booth and discuss their individual questions and needs related to research data management.

For NFDI4BIOIMAGE, continuous and close interaction with the scientific community is of great importance. It is essential to effectively develop new tools and best practices that specifically advance research data management in biological imaging.
